orientation'o7 is officially over. [and thus ends my 9 taxing but satisfying days of running in and out of classes, getting teachers irritated over that matter, and being lost when doing homework, although i still am a bit lost.]

was a really fulfilling experience, and even though it probably did take a rather heavy toll on my voice (which i believe shrunk in range after all the ri sessions, not that i'm complaining or anything!), watching the sec1s grow over the 9 days, from being rather skeptical over cheering low to being (highly?) enthusiastic during the later ri sessions was just...touching. and i'm glad it helped me feel much more strongly for pb, fior and of course, raffles. (i mean, 5 hours of song-singing and cheering does wonders in binding people together. put in our fantastic 'surround sound system' -HAHAHA- and well, the effect's overwhelming.)

it might seem weird, lame even, but somehow, i felt even more attached (?) to this year's orientation, compared to my own's. perhaps it's the involvement with the planning process, seeing how the sec1s actually enjoy (well, most of them did anyway, except for certain ones who seem to be able to come up with a negative/boring/'no point' side to everything) it and feeling their school spirit grow as the days go by. and yes, it is frightfully satisfying and pride-inducing when you think about the fact that what we're doing through orientation is passing on the rafflesian legacy to these 'future torchbearers' (liting: i concur with you wholeheartedly!). that in years to come, these songs and cheers will form the very backbone of what they will fondly remember as the 'rafflesian spirit', is just plain -for the lack of a better word - cool. (:

wasn't a class i/c, but the experience was equally memorable anyway. lurked (yes, lurked in a highly sinister fashion) around 103 & 111, and joined 103 during station games. it really is astonishing how station games can successfully bring out the best in a class, the spirit, support, enthusiasm and all (but perhaps we are all just competitve souls, requiring a certain degree of incentives). this year's class flags are of really high quality (well, ours was a total disaster / mess, sadly), and it was really heartening to see the sec1s enjoying themselves throughout station games. [well done 111'o7, for being overall champions for station games and champions for class flag + model!]

grawr, i missed orientation concert, but yay 113 won best skit! (our mortal class, we should be happy!) -and something along the effect of 'the most zamboloofus class', which i have no idea as to the meaning.- wonder how they cheered at the end, but judging from what they did after their final lunch during orientation week, it must have been good, very good. (and as usual, the parents would have been shocked, like mine, haha!) (:

{on another note, apparently 111'o6 has been forever blacklisted in pb and psb, for making our psls cry. come to think of it, it wasn't really that we lacked in class spirit, that we were just a bunch of 'hey, who cares about this rubbish' people. i think we were rather upset that we failed in our job to protect our gladiator, and that we felt that we had let down our seniors who had accompanied us all the way through this strenuous (for them, at least) journey. i mean, perhaps we were too concerned about winning, about matching up to the other classes, but i just didn't think we were in the mood to cheer for a torn-and-tattered gladiator sheet on that day. i still love my psls, don't get me wrong. anyway, it's all in the past now - and we did grow closer together as class through the year - and it doesn't really matter, or does it?}

/rgspb: you're the meaning in my life, you're the inspiration.

lives, writes, sings, plays the piano, and attempts to sound intellectual at times (conclusion: fails rather miserably).

loves music (almost strictly classical, hurhur & inclusive of faziolis!), literature (& also the sciences - no they are not in conflict), making hopelessly lame puns, laughter, white/milk chocolate, cheesecake, the world & the people in it. list not exhaustive, by the way.

wants the world to be filled with peace, joy and love, and also wants (perhaps a little more selfishly) to be happy, plus lead a life of purpose. that would be more than enough. (:

oh, and she likes embarking on her own 'free hugs!' campaigns after exams and the like; not really sure why. D: (at any rate, you can tell that she's random enough.)

loves you!♥

very plain, she knows; but this is probably herself in its entirety - nothing more than a compilation of perhaps-boring-to-you little things (and the occasional Important Event), but also nothing less than all the brilliant memories which constitutes her life, and perhaps yours.

also interpreted as an inability to express with other things but words (nothing more, nothing less!), although even words sometimes won't do enough. but she does like orange.

v2.0 (230208): maybe solid grey isn't that fantastic after all. but wordy is good, all the same. she's weird, she knows.

ver. i-pretend-that-it-is-3.0-when-i-know-it-is-not (070608): i am boring, take that. (:

v4.0 (200908): got bored, so cut down on the quasi-fanciful stuff even more. perfectly plain now, though somehow the background still doesn't work on safari / google chrome. ):
